"Remote Control Battery is Empty"

I kept getting this message on the notification and instrument cluster. I did the obvious and change the battery in the remote. The message still appears. Any ideas?

Try the 2nd remote. If you don't get the message it's a issue with the first remote & get it replaced under warranty.. If you DO get same message you going in for a service visit

Make sure the new/replacement battery doesn’t have a clear sticker on the back side that may be preventing the battery from making full contact...as well as double check that you have it inserted the correct way. I’ve seen this occur across multiple BMW forums when replacing the battery in the remote fob.
