I am about to push button on m50d, dealer giving all sorts of discounts, 2.9 apr etc. Dealer really pushing me hard you say yes.

But going onto the configurator the 50d engine isn't available any more! In X5 or X7

The 40d is the biggest Diesel engine with mild hydrid

Does anyone know what's going on?

The B57S isn't Euro 6d compliant, a new model year means no more B57S even though it doesn't go into effect until January.

Yup the quad turbo is no more sadly. Which is a shame as it was superb.

No.
As far as I know if it was not euro6 it would not be in the production at all. I think that euro 6 is from 2015. That engine is off for all models, just like audi Sq7/sq8 V8 TDI and VW v8 tdi. No more of strong disel engines
