Add Parking Assistance Pkg G06

Can you add the parking assistance package after delivery? If so how much would it cost?

Are you talking like 3D surround cameras? It may be less of a headache to just trade in your car and get a new one.

Yep, that option. I just got my X6 and didn’t have the package unfortunately. I figured it would be a headache if even possible. Not an option to trade in yet unfortunately.

It's not something you can quickly or cost effectively add after purchase. You'd need to identify all the parts that's required, for example, note this isn't a comprehensive list of what else is needed:

- ECU for surround view, around $670, bracket + screws $37
- Surround view cameras for the side mirrors, front and rear, around $500 for the set
- Assuming the harness are in side mirrors
- Labor
- Lots of coding

Installing left/right top view camera:

It cost more than just trade in new car.

Seems to be a lot of work and expensive, if at all possible.

anything possible but the price and process prob wouldn't be worth it honestly IMO. I dont think a BMW dealer would be able to help you out, seems like something you would have to get from a independent shop for I would assume there would be some sort of ECU programing done, not 100% sure about this answer but to be sure you would have to research it more and talk to your service agent at your dealer

If it's possible with $2K in parts as Auricom is suggesting that's certainly less than trading in for a new car. Sales tax alone on the trade would be $5K or more.

Agree, since I just purchased no sense trading it in. I would have ordered but was able to get a great deal on this so I gave up that option. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi, im new here and getting up to speed as fast as I can. I’m going to bite the bullet and do it. Already have reverse camera, and already have ordered the other 3 cameras, harnesses, and center console.
My question is, if already equipped with the reverse camera, do I already have the TRSVC or surround view ECU? Since it plugs there. Or because it’s only the reverse camera it goes connected differently?
Is there a way to check? Can someone share where would the TRSVC be located? Or how to check where the reverse camera is connected to?

Is there an updated link? That one doesn’t seem to be working any more

Before you go and get all/most of the hardware you should make sure that the coding is figured out. As far as I know no one has done this so it may take a lot of effort/dollars to have someone do the coding.

Hi turtleboy, I did, I was told it’s doable and not that complex, apparently it’s done a lot in Asia and Europe and it’s well documented. It’ll be remote coding, and I’ll do and/or coordinate the installation locally.

Auricom, can you share an updated link? I’m thinking I’ll need brackets and fasteners, so I want to start prepping

Good, just wanted to make sure you are covered. BMW made newtis shut down so that free resource is no longer available.
