M sport Brakes with 20" clearance concern?

Hi, I am debating whether to get the MSport Brakes(really wanted red for a change) for my 45e order.

Luckily, I saw to 2 X5e on the dealers lot, one with Standard brake, which is already upgraded from the base standard brakes and one with M-Sport brakes. Both with 20" wheels.

The Clearance between the back of the M-Sport Brakes and the 20" wheels is pretty tight. I couldn't fit my fingers in the gap.

Any concerns with gravel being stuck in there? or any other potential issues?

Ha, I think you'll be alright since they shove them in a 19" wheel. Joking aside you should be ok. I haven't had any major scarring. It looks like the 20s with those calipers have twice the gap.

Plus, if you really need to get to a spot that’s tight, roll the car forward an inch…

BMW offers it as an option with the 20", so I doubt they would if there was the potential of it being an issue.

I got MSport Brakes on 20" as a factory option and it works like a charm!
I would not recommend anything else considering the improved braking efficiency, especially for spirited drivers.

Should not be any issues. Some people have been running this set-up for years.
