Steering wheel and driver seat adjustment range
I have a 2020 M Sport and at 6'5" have the wheel at the highest placement, and seat at the lowest setting. When driving a 2021 non-M Sport loaner yesterday the steering wheel, as well as the seats, had a larger range of adjustment and the wheel went higher, and the seats lower, allowing me to get into a better driving position. The loaner appeared to have Sensatech for both.
Is there anyway to increase the range of adjustment for the steering wheel and front seats? Is there a reason why the leather M Sport wheel and Merino seats would have a smaller range? |

I think that the X5 is available with three different seats (sport, comfort, and regular), and which one you choose can affect the adjustment range partly because the padding is slightly different - don't know if the tracks are different as well. I do not know if the actual range of movement varies as well, but the starting point likely does.
The only valid comparison would be to have the same series of seats. |
