Week 33 Production Status

My week 33 X45e went though QC is one day.

I did not have Merino leather, Executive, or DAP.

There is a known shortage on Merino leather....i.e can't place a new order for Merino on the 40i....anyone held up in QC have Merino on a 40i?

I was going to say I think it's the leather, a lot of the people held up in QC have the merino leather. Apparently they source the leather from Ukraine.

my status changed to dispatched from factory this afternoon, it was awaiting carrier this morning, and was in QC yesterday.

Day 4 Rail car / Trucking to Portland OR

End of day 4, the car remains in Atlanta GA. There could be a missed scan or it’s waiting for more cars to head to KC. Total miles 161.

Original schedule stated it was due in KC on 8/22 - seems like this is still possible.

you might be right - I did not have leather.

I had Ivory White Merino leather seats and my car didn't get held up. Not sure if leather seats is the reason, unless a particular color leather held up the cars...

I have sensatec and mine is still in QC. Funny enough through a miscommunication with another dealer, they ordered me the same car I was waiting on (same config except for xdrive). That car is now through QC and waiting on carrier assignment (since Monday). I'm going to go with the car I didn't know I ordered as that dealer ended up giving me a better deal and looks like it got through QC already. In other words, I don't think it's any features since the same car got through QC and one is stuck.

Still in QC, with Sensafin and PCD pick-up mid Sept. so no rush… perhaps prioritizing the dealer deliveries

Day 5 Rail car / Trucking to Portland Oregon

End of day 5, it moved 26 miles to Austell GA to a pretty large intermodal yard. Total miles 187 miles!

I’m glad to know where it’s at, but dang I’m inpatient.

Di3s3l_Power, we might get ours at the same time!

Mine just completed the build and is now in QC as well as of Sunday, 21 Aug.

I have extended merino leather, Executive Package and DAP.

My understanding is that they dont go into the build unless they have all of the parts, so I dont think its a matter of parts but maybe delivery location. I am in the PNW too so maybe is a matter of getting the train schedule lined up to make an expeditious and more direct trip to the PNW with all of these autos.

Just trying to be optimistic here but will check again on my status daily. My guess it will be on a train either later today or tomorrow.

That is not how things have been working. While parts are ordered/allocation when you go into Production Begins, depending on the part the vehicle may be built without it and have it added later. Earlier this Spring that occurred for quite a few vehicles with the control display. Those build for the US were stuck in QC until the display was available and those for Europe were shipped without it and it was installed when over there.

Mine is stuck at port since 08/16. Scheduled for 08/18 pick up but don't see any movements. Genius do not have any information either. Is this normal?

Still sitting in awaiting carrier assignment as of 8/18. Anyone know how long it usually takes to get loaded on a train? Dealer is on the west coast 2 hours north of LA…

Unfortunately no movement yet...

I remember someone said his x5 was stuck in QC for 17 days, and I thought no way that time, but now I feel everyone's pain. lol
