First off. BMW site is showing 2.99% for 60 months on 24's today. I talked to my dealer and said they are trying to help the dealers get rid of them before the 25's come in. He was hopeful the 25's rate would be lower than the 5's that we've been seeing but who knows.

So I did have him quote me some numbers on a 25 today as well. He said no loyalty or incentives are showing currently but he expects that to change soon.
I didn't have to work to hard to get 6% off so I think I can maybe do a touch better and hopefully I can get some loyalty and better interest rates in the future. Also I can get the supplier discount which is not accounted for in the figures, but it's usually about a grand to $1500. We set the price about a grand higher than the 24 just in case the prices change enough we have a cushion. So that may change as well.

X5 40i
Lease
$84,000 selling
$4,960 discount
$79,040 adjusted
$24 CVR
$260 doc fee
$17.04 tax
$16 title fee
$5 license fee
$10 transfer fee
$925 BMW acquisition fee
$80,297.04 balance

36 months. 0 down. 1699 total drive off. 12,000 miles a year. 51% residual. .0021 MF which he said was marked up.

$1367 to $1387 payment.

To just buy it as to be honest the price difference isn't that much and leasing isn't as good as it used to be as we all know.

X5 40i
$84,000 selling
$4,960 discount
$79,040 adjusted
$24 CVR
$260 doc fee
$4,759.44 tax
$15 title fee
$5 license fee
$10 transfer fee
$84,113.44 balance

60 months. 0 down. BMW rate and marked up but negotiable possibly.
$1603 to $1623

72 months. 0 down. BMW rate and marked up but negotiable possibly.
$1390 to $1410

What do you think so far? I think I might just buy over lease at this point.

What is a fair price for a 4000 mile 2024 50e, CPO?. Are there any issues with these cars? Problems? I've test driven 9 SUV's and this one seems about the best but expensive.
Thx

Tough to say without knowing the options. I would think given that production has been limited the price would be higher than usual. Maybe 15% below original MSRP but that would depend on the local market.

Keep in mind that with all of the issues the 540e is having that could be a buyback that the owner wanted to get rid of.

Yes you should add it and also cancel your order and do your negotiating prior to placing it again. If not, you are saying - please charge me MSRP and throw some add ons in as well.

Personally I did't get DAP, I prefer to do my own driving and I think it just encourages people to park their butts in the fast lane.

Thank you! Im still going back and forth on that. I was able to get roughly 7.9% off MSRP for my order. Sorry I should've mentioned that in my last post. Was just curious what others were able to get for comparison.

That is a good discount. I thought you ordered it with negotiations to be done when it arrives.

I see you are in Texas. Can you DM me and let me know what dealer is giving that? The most I was able to get via email was 5% around the Houston area.

new to leasing advice

I'm a young buyer who's new to leasing, in the past I've only paid cash for my cars. I placed an order back in the end of january for a 2024 x5 m60i.

MSRP $99,795
Residual value $51,893

Im paying NYS taxes up front $7665 and received the $1000 loyalty credit

0 cash down 36 months 10k miles a year $1550

Does this seem like a bad deal? I know someone personally who has a connection to the dealer so i believe they gave me a fair price. Another dealer quoted me way more. Do I have any negotiation power still or is it pretty finalized since the order has been placed?

Welcome to the forum. There is really no data there to say whether it is a good deal or not. You will want to look at the dealer discount and compare it to what his normal in your region. Make sure you are getting base MF and that there are no add-ons or extra dealer fees.

Once you have all of the details of the deal then you should be able to plug them into a lease calculator and come up with the same payment that the dealer is quoting you. Leasehackr has a very good calculator. https://leasehackr.com/calculator

It is always best to do all of your negotiation prior to placing the order. Since you already agreed to the pricing, you can technically go back and try and change it but you wouldn't like it if the dealer did that to you.

If you need any help with the details just let us know.

This is good intel. I think things in the NYC area might be different, but discounts off of MSRP are hard to come by for the '25 model from what I've seen. I will need to negotiate a bit better I think!

Did your dealer tell you that the taxes on your lease would be $7665, because that sounds incorrect…..In NY, you only pay taxes on the total amount of your lease payments, so in this case take $1550 x 36 x Tax Rate. Taxes vary by county in NY, but even if you take a high estimate at 9% tax, it would only be ~$5K, not $7665. Wonder where the remaining $2500 is going, they could be taking it as an additional down payment or your dealer charges crazy dealer fees. I would ask for an itemized breakdown if you don’t have one already

I've been trying to buy/negotiate a Pre-owned or even new 2024 X50e PHEV from several non-local dealers since there are hardly any in FLA. These guys are being quite tough with their pricing, even though the new '25's are due out soon.

Yesterday one of them offered me $211 off MSRP because their test drive model has 211 miles on it. WTF?

I'm expecting 5-7% off MSRP or thousands more for 5-6k miles loaners.
Am I being unrealistic?

Thx

Nick

2024 X5 XDrive40i Purchase

First post on this forum because I just bought my first BMW!

Purchased on 3/11/2024. 2024 X5 XDrive40i LCI

Im not sure the spec matters outside of the MSRP, Price paid, etc so I'll just stick to that.

MSRP (Window Sticker) incl. destination: $77,350
Price Paid: $75,350

Add: Tire/Wheel + Cosmetic Protection (which were two diff options but i'm combining them here to keep it simple): $3,000

Add: Brake/Rotor Pre-pay (get them within 3-years): $850

All weather Matts - Included

TAX (NY): $4683
License&Title: $63
Inspection: $10
Finance/Document Fee: $175

Total Out The Door (Taxes & Fees): $84.2K

Financed: $59,226 @ 72mos @ 4.5%: $939/mo

I initially looked at a lease (36mo, 10K miles)
Money factor: about .002 (or 6% interest rate)
Residual: 51% <-- terrible, no?

Pretty bad lease deal considering by end of the lease I would have paid more than half the car (incl. interest) and then had to give the car back. So I looked into financing.

Interest (60mos): 3.99%
Interest (72mos): 4.5%

It was a no-brainer to finance at these rates.

I hope this helps someone. Happy to get feedback on whether or not you think I got a fair deal. I think it was fair (i didnt say it was a great deal but all things considered, fair).

Yes, in my opinion. Given not only the new MY but that production of the 50e has been very limited the past few months, you will be lucky to get anything off MSRP. Their are no allocations to order from anyways so perhaps in June/July you will see things changing.
