Yokohoma Geolander x-cv xl
I just replaced the pirelli Rf on my 2023 45e at 15k miles with the yokohoma geolander x-cv all seasons non run flats , i searched this forum for this tire but couldn’t find anything . Anybody installed these on their x5 with 21 staggered setup ?

I’m also curious as to their performance and tread wear….coming up on replacing the P-Zeros again. We go through a set every 11k or 12k miles, so definitely hope the geolander has a longer tread life.

Based on the treadwear warranty and UTQG rating, it should be roughly 20-25k (treadwear warranty is 50k, halved for staggered setups that can't be rotated).

Original plans was to use the primacy tours on +5 setup but both Costco and discount tires refuse to install. End up going with oem size Yokohama. |

I already got a bubble on one of the tires with less than 200 miles on them. Tirerack approved the claim getting a relacement . Not sure how these will turn out in the long run

Oh how did you find out about the bubble? Was the ride horrible? I will keep an eye out for mine. Still prefer to go with the Michelin if they willing to install it.

I got the tire replaced since i have the titerack road hazard protection. Not sure why the bubble came, discount tire said nothing about it.

I was sure I’d be getting the Michelin Primacy upsized tires, but just saw this all season option in the stock size. I would prefer to stay stock size if they are good tires. |

Sorry, I mean that little bump near the bead around the rim to help prevent curb rash.

So happens my passenger rear tire was punctured by a nail due to local area constructions. The placement of the puncture cause the tire beyond repair which is unfortunate for a month old tire. I don’t think this relates to the tire themselves.
Fortunately I purchased the tire insurance from discount tire and they will replace it for free. But due to shortage of this particular tire, I opted for the Yokohama Avis GT and replace the pair for matching tires. Those also good tires since they are Porsche Star tires. Now I have a barely used tire that I need to get rid of. |

I think it is best to avoid 21 inch wheels altogether . After a month and 1000 miles later, i got nails in rear tire and now the tire is on back order and not available before june. Not sure what to do now, just ditch 21 inch wheels and get 20 inch wheels as they have more tire options available.
