They don't need another "opportunity". They are in business to make the highest return possible for their shareholders. They do that by making products that their customers want at price they are willing to pay. Marketplace competition sets the price. If you want an example of a "non profit" car manufacturer take a look at the cars produced by the former Soviet Union.

I have it on good Authority that Rivian dealers have a special imaging tool in their showrooms. Evidently people that walk in have ‘suckers’, tattooed in green on their forehead. For some, it’s not even invisible.
