Is there a way to code out the steering wheel tilt away each time the ignition turns off? I would like to turn it off. It’s really slow in retracting and extending.

That's called ADV (Assisted Driving View). See video:
If your G05 is MY2019 with the necessary options (5AU and ISTEP 07/2019.xx or later), you need to code to get ADV, but it can now be done with Bimmercode in expert mode:

DKOMBI
- CB_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS -> Aktiv
- PIA_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS -> Aktiv
- SICHT_ABSICHT_ENABLE -> Aktiv
Thanks! So I coded my 2019 model Go5 and I now how the ASD but only when in assisted driving. I don't have an option to display all the time? What did I miss??

I just received my new car and got through the coding With Bimmercode yesterday.

Everything went smoothly and seems to have been updated in line with what I coded except for the seat belt warnings for driver and passenger. I coded both to “not active”, but am still getting the audible warning if I start the car without first buckling up, or if I remove the seatbelt with the engine still running.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Also, as a disclaimer, I and everyone who travels in my car wears a seatbelt when driving. I want the chime gone because I don’t need to hear a reminder that I took my seat belt off before I shut off the ignition, pressed the start button before I put on my seat belt, or didn’t buckle up to move the car in my driveway etc.

You probably also need to code a few parameters in the Head Unit module in order to display the option to turn this on/off. My car has this option from the factory so I don't know what the parameters are. But I do have a menu option in iDrive to turn this feature on/off..

I coded my seat belt reminder off... You still get the reminder to buckle up when the car starts but you don't get the annoying alarm if you don't. Not sure if there's a way to code both off.

Anyone do the Brake Force Display change? Certain cars--under emergency braking--will blink their brake lights versus the solid display. This setting allows you to change the threshold to when that will happen (i.e., you can lower the braking force).

https://youtu.be/MWjD7Zrb6Yk

Thing is, though, according to the above video there are additional steps, but according to BimmerCode, it's just two simple settings. Has anyone changed this with the two settings and verified it worked?

The full coding for ADV is
DKOMBI:
CB_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv [01]
CB_PRESELECT_NAVI_ANSICHT_FZG_UMGEBUNG: aktiv [01]
PIA_FZG_UMGEBUNG_FAS: aktiv [01]
SICHT_ABSICHT_ENABLE: aktiv [01]

Activate as many as possible. All coding for ADV is in DKOMBI, no other ECU need be coded, but if you want it on all the time you need to replace the console map preview with ADV, within i-drive menu.

There is no search for Android bimmercode. Can someone tell me the steps to code ADV? -- Nevermind I found it manually. Works, thanks!

Just received my MHD ENET

I can confirm that this wireless unit is a lot faster than the Bluetooth counter part.

However, leaving the unit plugged in will trip the vehicle's alarm system.

Why would you leave it plugged in anyway? How long was it plugged in before it triggered the alarm?

I normally left the Bluetooth unit plugged in. Approximately 2 minutes later the alarm system tripped. At first I thought it was something wrong with the coding so I restored my last coding and the problem persisted. I realize it may be the wireless unit and the alarm system is back to normal after removing the unit.

That's annoying. Might need to hack in an off switch when mine gets in. Any chance it's held together by screws rather than glue?

I didn't notice any visible screws. Possibly held together by glue.

I have this same ODBII adapter on order as well. So, what happens if the coding doesn't get finished within 2 minutes?

Can you silence the alarm while the adapter is plugged in with the key fob?

I purchased this one, but it didn’t work.

Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ Bluetooth 4.0 OBD2 Scanner for iOS & Android, Car Diagnostic Code Reader Scan Tool for Universal OBDII/EOBD Vehicles https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076XVQMVS..._jHU3Eb4228D9C

I purchased it based off of recommendations from within the app itself. I could interface, but it wouldn’t program. I then went to the website and there were more details on the recommended scanners and lucky me, the one I first purchased was listed as not really compatible with the G05.

I ended up returning it and just got this one today as there aren’t many available on Amazon that is listed as compatible with BimmerCode.

New 2M Ethernet to OBD Interface Cable E-SYS ICOM Coding F-series for BMW ENET

I haven’t tried it yet. Anyone have any success with the wired one I just got?

The alarm is not activated when you are inside your vehicle. The alarm is only activated when you leave and lock your car.

Ahhh! I see. I wonder what's causing that with the ENET adapter and not with Bluetooth adapters.

Have you asked Stephan from BimmerCode if he knows why this might be happening? Especially since this appears to only be a problem with this specific adapter.

How could it be Bimmercode app? When the alarm is going off, it is not connected to the adapter and is nowhere near the car. No, by far most likely is that the MHD adapter has a large standby/parasitic current and the car security system monitors for that as an anti-theft anti-hacking facility. It's almost certainly MHD's fault, plain and simple. The other recommended adapters either got lucky and accidentally have low standby current, or more likely explicitly designed for this and powered themselves down properly.

Well, Bimmercode app is actually pretty clear that neither of the two Veepak adapters are compatible with G-series cars (see pic), so best not to blame the app (for this). It gets pretty confusing which is why I have always recommended the OBDLink MX+ adapter as the simplest and most reliable for beginners ... but even they seemed to have screwed up with a firmware update recently (search for posts on the topic if interested).

The new thing you bought is an OBD to Ethernet cable. Did you also buy the Ethernet to Lightning interface? If not, you're going to have a little trouble shoving that big Ethernet RJ45 plug into your iPhone for Bimmercode *mobile app* to function with it . Anyway, the OBD to Ethernet cable should be fine, but you need the Lightning interface as well. This combo is very fast, but less reliable than the old-firmware OBDLink MX+ BT interface.
