Shame they didn't make the front seats wrinkly to match the rear ones and make them more comfortable!!!!!!!!.

I have a '16 50i and will probably get the 40i or hybrid next time. 50i is great (I had a M3 prior) ... but I think a 6 is still BMW's sweet spot. And lately I am after the most range per tank... the 50 I is thirsty... very thirsty. But... it is amazing with DHP when you want it to be...

You need to test drive both of the new G05’s.

being thirsty isn't bad, what's your average MPG on the 2016? The new 50i is well worth its drinking habit

I read the article on consumer reports -- its great. One question I have though is how much better is the 2019 X5 than the 2018 X5? Trying to figure out if I should get a 2018 or 2019 5.0i

The G05 X5 is a completely new generation for 2019. The 2018 is the last of the F15 generation, designed in 2013. I think that says it all.

I guess you could probably get a 2018 for a big discount now?

Don't buy an F15 (2018-2015ish) X5, the 2019 (G05) is significantly better. Also this isn't a Mustang so it's a 50i

Thank you. What do you see as making the G05 better than the F15?

Probably just easier to do a search for G05 reviews, many of them mention the features that are improvements and new to the G05.

I thought the same way but ended up with the 40i. The engine in the 40i is one of the most reliable BMW engines there is. BMW has the straight six nailed down.

I can't say the same about the 50i's engine, nor BMW's history with the V8s
