Individual Color Availability

Guys - I think the available color palette is pretty bad. Nothing looks interesting or exciting. Does anyone have any knowledge of what individual colors may be available for order in July? Hoping for a nice silver or grey.

Technically the individual color pallets are on already? Both the Tanzinite and Ametrin are both consider individual colors within the priority 1 options.
Really hope BMW's NA factory will eventually be able to do some cool, true individual colors...

I doubt they would roll out any new colors, but personally I would love to see a Ferrari red or santorini blue (DREAMING I know, but would be awesome )

**X5s are made in US so BMW individual is not an option for those models.

There is communication from BMWNA stating that individual colors for XM vehicles can be ordered starting 8/2020, so this comment confuses me.

What confuses me more is that they debut the X6M in a gorgeous Urban Green and then not offer that color and instead offer the bland and boring Manhattan Green.

If the Urban Green on the debut was offered I would have already had one in the garage

Just curious if you know when the timing that has been communicated (8/2020) is intended to coincide with the change over to model year 2021 for the XMs? That would make sense.

If true, would one be able to place an order before 8/2020 for a build date after 8/20?

Is there any place to see the individual colors online? I have not found one...assuming there aren't any changes.

As much as I like X5s and BMWs generally, I find their paint and upholstery color choices lame. Not suggesting that BMW needs to go full Porsche with paint to sample, but more choices would be nice...as well as fewer build rules when it comes to leathers etc.

But what do you expect for $100k?

I've seen the 8/20 communication as well. The big question is... which individual colors will be available? If the options are strong, it makes waiting a possibility for those who are ready to pull the trigger.

I'd pay big money for a Lime Rock Gray, Grigio Telesto or similar.

Join a very old club. I am still pissed that 20 years ago E46 M3 was advertised in Chrome Shadow at launch and then was never available in that ... but they didn't tell you that one couldn't order it until your order spot in the 1.5-year-long waiting list came up. Grr ...

I saw Urban Green in person last October 2019 on a M4 when I attended a BMW track training program in Germany. Not impressed at all in person, photos for you. Maybe it was the overcast day🤷🏻*♂️

No that is a depressing color for a minivan, on a M car it is a clear example BMW design may be colorblind.
