Newbie to the forum, first post, but have been lurking for a few weeks. Some great information on here…love reading about everyone's experiences and have learned a lot.
I currently have a '22 X5 45e on order. My wife and I are going from 3 cars to two, we're replacing a 2015 Suburban, 2005 Audi S4 convertible and my 2019 540i with the X5 and a 2022 Mini CooperS 4 door. This will be my 3rd BMW. I had a 2009 3-series before the 540. With our oldest leaving the nest soon and having her own car now (a VW Golf Sportswagen), we realized we could manage our own vehicle needs with two cars vs three. So we ordered two vehicles…my wife's Mini was ordered on 11/13 and is currently in the paint booth. My X5 status: Order Accepted/PN rec'd - 10/30 Scheduled for Production - 11/12 Production Begins - 11/20 Scheduled for week 50 build Will be fun to see whose car arrives first. We have a little family wager going… My money's on mine since the Mini's are built in the UK. Spec: Phytonic Blue/Cognac Vernasca M Sport 740m's M red brake calipers Extended Shadowline Luxury Seating (multi-contour, front ventilated, front massaging) Climate Comfort (4-zone, front and rear heated, heated armrest) Premium Package Glass Controls Parking Assistance Package Had to go with the Climate package, my kids complained all the time about not having heated back seats in both my 540 and the Suburban and fight over the front seat. (First world problems, right?) I skipped the Driver Assistance Plus option, I have it in my 540 and don't use it. After seeing all the pics of other PBlue X5's on here…I CANNOT wait to get mine…with some luck, both my wife and I will have new cars for Christmas. Update: just hung up with Genius line, production completion is scheduled for 12/9. Stoked!!! Anyone know what delivery time frames look like to Northern Virginia from Spartanburg? |

Aluminum tetragon. I like the clean look of it.

Just ran the VIN on my 45e, Scheduled Week 50 Prod, 12/7 completion. No 06UY (touchscreen delete) or 0ZUY (backup assist delete) thus far...hoping it stays that way.

12/9 that'll be very close to a last week of 2021 delivery since your car will go straight from Spartanburg VPC to a truck up I-95.

My X5 is "scheduled for production" as of 12-2-21. Does anyone think I'll have it delivered before 12/31/21?

You might try calling the Genius line to see if they had a Prod date.

I'm in the same boat with a 45e scheduled for week 50. Just north of Chicago (in WI) so I'm hoping to pull it off before the end of the year (for the tax credit).

Ditto…week 50 build for our 45e. Decoder show “prod date” of 15 Dec, which someone pointed out ‘should’ be production complete date.
Really, really want delivery this calendar year…looks like the tax credit next year will be ~$4K less if I’m reading it right. |

I'm new to BMW coming from a minor disaster with a '22 Volvo XC60 B6. (Dealer bought it back.). We went with the x45e after driving the x40i also. Never had a hybrid. This will be my wife's DD. Our options include: Meneral White/Cognac xLine Drivers Assistance Pro Luxury Seating Premium Parking Assistance 20" wheel 738 w/AS rft 4-zone climate control Htd Front Seats/Armrests Rear manual side window shades We sold a 2012 Volvo XC60 T6 Platinum owned since new (6 cyl, 300 HP). Besides the technical issues, the Volvo B6 engine (4 cyl turbo, 297 HP) was just noisy. While approximate 12K more $$ (not counting $7.5K rebate), couldn't believe how smooth/quiet/powerful the 45e was in comparison, not to mention interior design/build. It's a whole 'nother level. We are working to install a ChargePoint Flex Level 2 charger. Have all the parts here waiting on my electrician buddy to stop by to set it up hardwired. Ran into my SA yesterday AM at the local "Cars and Coffee". He says "no deletes yet" and to expect delivery in about a week from tomorrow. (I'm just north of Baltimore.)

My 45e still showing Prod begins, but decoder shows Prod date of 12/7….hoping it moves along today or tomorrow. Like others have mentioned, hoping for delivery by 12/31 to take advantage of the tax credit. In other news, my wife's Mini is 'waiting at port', they are made in the UK. Bet could go either way on which car arrives first.

I just heard from my CA. They expect delivery on mine either 12/13 or 12/14. Car was produced on 12/6 so about a week to get from factory to dealer in Northern Virginia. Unfortunately, I'm away in business through the 17th so am planning to pick up on Saturday the 18th. All in about 7 weeks from order accepted to delivered assuming that schedule holds.

Took delivery of my new Phytonic Blue/Cognac M-sport 45e today (12/18). Ordered on 10/30, was produced on 12/6 and arrived at dealer on 12/15. We live about an hour from the dealer so got a chance to put some miles on this on the drive home. Initial impressions are excellent…the build quality, fit and finish are very good, what I would expect for a 75K vehicle. Love the look of the cognac interior. Going to take some time to get used to the various driving modes…will be fun. Was too dark when I got home to take any pics, but will post some tomorrow.
