WOW.... All things considered, this makes the X5 even that more impressive!
Literally the reaction time. If that was equal, the X5 is literally crossing the line less than a front bumper away.

The Urus’s extra foot at the finish line cost ~$80,000 more than X5MC, and not to mention the reaction times as you said.

Thanks for sharing. No doubt the X5MC is impressive. I would still pick up an Urus is I had the money. I just think it's the coolest SUV out there.

I can't say I would not grab it myself if the extra $80-$100k is no object. It looks sweet AF!

It doesn't make sense getting a Urus instead of X5. Instead of X6 - yes, but X5 is an a different category than those cars.

Not just the $80-$100k upfront, I’d imagine the cost of ownership is frighteningly expensive. Can’t imagine what the Lamborghini service techs hourly stated rate is. Insurance, too.

Nice video. Like others have said. If cost is no object, Urus 100%.

Nice video. I particularly enjoyed it being less than 2 mins to watch for what was really 25-30 seconds of content. Lots of other drag comparos often contain countless minutes of chatter, with the exception of CarWow IMO.

Is it me or did these two cars look like each were moving forward at a 20° angle?

But for the price of a used Urus (around 250k), you can buy a brand new X5MC plus a brand new M5C on top. Or, even better, you can buy an almost new Huracan EVO.

Yea, I would imagine the Urus is likely yielding a premium due to the aura associated with Lambo. Honestly, as much as I LOVE the X5M, I think the cache of the Urus (as well as the fact I love the Lambo look extrapolated to an SUV) would sway me to favor it if money were no issue.

Like I said, cost is no object between the two. But even if I had money for any of them, those aren't on my list of what I'd buy, plus you already know my stance on performance SUV's.

The X6M Competition punches above its class and is bargain relatively speaking. But, if a $300,000+ Lamborghini SUV with Novitec parts attached to it and one desires still more noise and attention than a stock Urus offers then this is probably what you want.

And I suggest you turn up the speakers 🔊 to full blast...

Oh yeah, that's one bad ass exhaust note. Especially if you have seen one in person!

There's one Lamborghini Urus in Riconada Hills were we live. I understand the angular lines tells us it's a Lamborghini. It's explicit brand recognition. I shake my head when I see it. There are so many better looking cars, not SUV's, in that price range.

I agree. Not a fan of all the whacking looking angles. I wouldn't care if it was the same price as the X5M, I still wouldn't want it.

Yes X5M puts out impressive performance numbers but I think it falls short on ride quality, noise insulation, exhaust sound and other features when you compare it against Poorus (RSQ8)

I highly doubt anyone is cross shopping these. Urus competes against other high end lux SUVs from bentley, rolls etc. Those who are ordering Urus most likely to already have a full garage of other exotics and Urus is just another latest flashy toy/winter beater to add to their collection. Let's be honest, people will buy lambo Suv for the looks alone (I'd buy one in a bright color if I had $$$).

Btw at higher speeds X5M starts to fall behind, 2.5 carlengths by 1/2 mile and even more as longer the race goes
  • drag race: 42:51
  • POV instrument clusters 51:05 for top speed
  • overlapped dyno graphs of both: 24:55
  • weights: 27:22
(2361 vs 2431 in kg, both cars with full tank of gas. Actually pretty good for X5M, weighs barely 70kgs more than urus.)
