The wheel gap on these cars is ridiculous. Is that really the normal setting? Why do I feel the F95 has way more wheel gap than the previous X5M?

MSS Lowering springs would help with that wheel gap and the stance imo.

Whats the point in overpaying for MSS when you can just buy lowered springs

Youre not gonna change it, which is the only advantage to MSS. You're gonna set MSS once time and never change it. Same as a normal set height spring. You guys overpaying for no reason.

Prolly change height for winter setup.

I dunno, was reading here and peeps said MSS is a less bumpy ride so I went with them. Not sure what the price difference is but I'm personally not missing any of those dollars.

Nice car!!

I'm considering having my calipers painted gold or silver... my question is, did you have to remove the calipers yourself and take them somewhere to get painted, or did you drop your car off at a spot that takes care of everything for you?

Thanks for sharing. I'm on the fence for my first upgrade to my new X6MC (BSM)

- Stealth Wrap for matte look
- +200 hp/+200Nm torque from G-Power

Got quotes for both still mulling it over.

Good question, I do like the yellow calipers, very Ferrari-esque, but I'd really prefer to buy BMW stock yellow calipers rather than paint my blue ones ... unless the painting option is (a) MUCH cheaper, and (b) looks the same

Let's see how the OP's experience went with painting calipers!

I've never done this before, because I liked the blue ones contrast to the donnington grey when I had the F86 but felt that shade of blue would clash with the TB2 blue on my current F96.

Didn't go red... well because everyone has red calipers nowadays, lol.

I wish BMW offered the gold or silver calipers like they do on the M5, but the only other unique color option was black for the X6M, but I do miss the "pop" from a sharp colored caliper set up under big wheels.

I'll reach out to a couple custom shops when I get back home next week to see if they do the dismantling and painting at there location, or if I'm supposed to just take them apart and bring them in myself.
