Need Help! vLinker MC WiFi will not connect to X5

Hi, I received this new vLinker MC WiFi adapter and have not been able to connect with my 2021 X5. It's driving me nuts! I've coded once before(different adapter) with 'SmartSaves' holding my hand. I've tried everything... diagnostic mode>>plug in adapter>>Wifi on (Iphone 12)>>connect to Vlink network >make sure Bimmercode is set to Vgate iCar WiFi (2 choices?)((neither works))>> connect to Bimmercode -FAIL-??? I'm getting quite cranky over this... been sitting in the car for 2 days playing with everything!

What am I doing wrong????

Is it possible that yours is defective?

Thanks for your response. Yes, most probably. I reached out to vLinker sales and they're graciously sending me another adapter! many thanks....

Not totally related, but I purchased a OBDLink CX (BT) and it was defective. They exchanged it for another adaptor and the 2nd one worked flawlessly.

So that might likely be the case!

Sorry meant to respond sooner... "mmm50i" that was exactly the case! Wrote them and they offered to send me out a different Vlinker unit, worked as advertised. thanks for the reminder and to Vlinker for coming through!
