Does anyone have any inside information on when the Tow Package will be available to order again?

I’ve asked 3 dealers in last week - all said same thing - that it’s unavailable to order and no known date for returning. Not helpful, I know.

Does the BMW Trailer Hitch come with any additional enhancements to the vehicle besides just the hitch?

I'm about to order a X5e but of course the hitch is no longer available, so I think I'm going to end up just getting an aftermarket like stealth hitch. Just want to make sure I'm not missing out on any features like load leveling, sway control, transmission enhancements etc. that some companies offer with their tow packages.

I've seen posted larger brakes (same as blue or red) and additional cooling but have not seen it documented.

What a pain with the hitch not being available. I added the bigger brakes a la carte (+650) and stealth hitch will cost $1,000 plus install. So it will cost me an extra 1500-2000 going that route compared to OEM. I'll likely to do the hitch myself but it doesn't look easy!

Does the OEM hitch on 22' 45e still make the handsfree tailgate no longer work? At least that's one advantage of the aftermarket if still the case... but still

Once you get the bummer off it's not too bad.

Personally, I would disable the kick to open w/a hitch.
