What do you do for a living?

I know this forum is heavily geared towards enthusiasts, but surely I’m not the only one who considers a $70k car expensive, let alone fully loaded $90k+ M50’s. So that got me curious, what kind of jobs/work do others do to be able to afford not one but often two cars at these price points?

(No intention to be rude, just a general question)

Fully retired at 62(3 yrs ago). Owned multiple businesses and commercial properties, cashed my chips at the perfect time. Converted the majority of my assets from liquidation to equites which have exploded. Life is very good. I am blessed.

Retired at 50 from a career in IT, consulted for a little over three years, tried not working for 8 months and just doing hobbies, got bored and drove wife crazy, started working at WalMart and everyone is happy.

I am a Stay at Home Mom, my husband works in tech. I make all the car decisions and am the enthusiast, rather have a nice car than jewelry or purses. Was an insurance adjuster prior to kids.

Good for you Man. Sounds as if life has been good for you too.
I am thinking about taking a part time, pressureless job also. Recently applied for an aircraft fueler position which I did when I was a college kid and another at nearby car dealer. Going from full time plus to no work at all in a short period of time is a bit of a shocker. I did not want to retire to a bar stool like so many guys do. An abundance of free time can get your ass in a real pickel.

Yes, I have been lucky. Being able to leave your work at work is a great thing and something I had not done in many years. Unfortunately every so often I'm talked into going full time and taking a management slot while they work on filling it. During those periods, currently in one, I fall back into my old routine and throw myself into my work but am looking forward to putting a case of beans on the shelf being my most stressful event of the day.

Good luck with your quest.
