45e HUD color coding

My question is related to the color of the line that appears above the mph reading in HUD display.
My understanding was that the line will be blue if in Electric mode. But at times, it is grey while Iam in electric mode. Any pointers?. Picture below.

Honestly never noticed. Only thing I notice when I go over speed limit it turns red. I will look next time, don’t think I have ever seen blue, only white.

I would also like to know. I have seen it blue and white when I’m in all electric mode. Most of the time it is blue.

I know it's not 100% the same, but maybe this might offer some insight from the non-hybrid models... I was playing with this and noticed:

1) If you change your Instrument Cluster display settings to "reduced mode" then this line in the HUD is always white, it never changes color (which is weird to me that the HUD inherits this setting from the Instrument Cluster "reduced mode" ... seems like a bug almost)

2) On the non-hybrid models, this line is blue in eco mode, white in comfort mode, and red in sport mode, so it changes based on the driving mode selected

I know not exactly what you were looking for but maybe this helps point you in the right direction.

I always have in Electric Individual mode, and HUD reduced mode. Without any change to these settings, the line changes to blue or grey. Trying to understand the logic behind this coloring in 45e.

Thats right. But I am seeing White line when in pure electric - and this is not always. When I make a short trip to a nearby shop on electric, it is blue. When i start the vehicle to return back home on electric, it is now white

Are you sure you're in electric mode when the line is white? I ask because the car will sometimes switch to hybrid mode for some reason when you restart the car.

I've done a few drives now since you initially posted the question and it's always blue when I'm in electric mode.

i have a MY21 45e. depending on the drive mode, the line differs in color and position in the Instrument cluster (IC), in addition to color differences between IC and HUD. this is what i observed today on the way home.

Sport drive mode
HUD line is orange
IC line is white
IC line position is below the indicated gear

Hybrid and Adaptive drive modes
HUD line is grey
IC line is grey
IC line position is above the indicated gear

Electric drive mode
HUD line is blue (lake_eleven interesting how your HUD line is white)
IC line is white
IC line position is above the indicated gear
