Dog hair and protection in the back of X5

Just bought a 2021 X5 and am searching for cargo space protection. Mainly joined just so I could find a solution to the dog hair. Driving me nuts. Owned weathertech in the past but looking for something that fits the floor and back of the seats (folded up and down). Have two large german shephards so need something tough. I've seen a few companies offer full cargo liners and have read reviews. Anyone else have dogs and what are you using?

Have tried a few custom liners in the past and literally just bought one from Ruff Rugs for my newish X5 a few months ago:

https://ruffrug.com/products/bmw-x5-cargo-liner

I have a large lab and they tend to rip up the interior. He goes everywhere with me and sheds a ton (especially during summer). The Ruff Rug Bmw X5 liner is made a bit different than the others which is why I chose them this time. Completely custom to the x5 and made with a double sided vinyl so makes it super simple to wipe down the dog hair. Also, the shipping times were instant and I didn't want wait 2-4 weeks, most companies are made to order but I guess Ruff Rugs pre makes them and only focuses on some vehicles. Ordered and I got mine two days later.

Every single liner I've ordered was good, Ruff Rugs just is a bigger bang for your buck.

Haha think I've tried every custom liner on the market and totally agree on the X5 Ruff Rugs suggestion because it's just a tad nicer (better material, fits exactly the x5 interior).

The liner is made with thick the material is and it's perfect for dog hair.

Orvis offers some excellent options for protection. Highly recommended, as our Golden seems to shed an infinite amount of fur too!

Bought one from https://www.cargoliner.com/

The product us awesome, fit like a glove. We have a English Cream Golden (all white) really protects the back well, and easy to clean.

I have this one and they are excellent. Much easier to vac up the dog hair than from the carpet. Just carefully follow the instructions re applying the velcro strips.

I got cargo area side covers and a rear hatch cover from these guys. Pretty pleased with the material and the fit. The side covers include coverage for the big leather hump that doesn't fold down with the rear seats. Just went to Amazon for the cargo floor/back of seat cover, door covers and a hammock cover to hang from the backs of the front seats. There's hardly an inch of original BMW surface available for my Malamute to screw up.

Something we can all agree upon- no matter how much shedding the babies do, it's worth it!

Interesting. Is there a photo of the material on their website?

Hi, just to add a valuable cleaning tool for pet hair. Slip on some latex gloves and wipe/rub the carpeted surfaces. Voila, the hair clumps up and is easy to vacuum out! I learnt of this trick about 8 years ago and the success rate is unbelievable! No more fighting with the shop vac to remove some stubborn ground in hair. The static electricity provided by rubbing the glove over the carpeting clumps in all up. Try it, worth gold with pets.... !

Yes, here: https://ruffrug.com/products/bmw-x5-cargo-liner

It's cloth underneath and vinyl on top. Mentioned the reason is it helps stay in place against the floor and the vinyl is totally waterproof so dog hair wipes right off.

Well although my little Westie doesn’t need THAT much protection, this is exactly what I need for my small inflatable fishing system!

I’ve got a 45e that should be ready in a couple of weeks and wanted to check to see if the normal X5 size for the Ruffrug or Canvasback still works with the 45e rear space (which I understand to be slightly different due to the battery pack).

I’ve got a Canvasback with the lip extender in the Q7 that we’ll be replacing; it’s been fine though I’ve had some challenges with the parts on the rear seat backs coming unstuck. Anyway, definitely need something as our 90 lb black lab is in and out of the cars all the time. Thx!

We use this for the rear seat (Large):

https://www.orvis.com/grip-tight-qui...ctor/20HP.html

And this for the back (Extra large):

https://www.orvis.com/grip-tight-qui...ctor/20JH.html

They clean well, don't slide around (stable platform for the dog) and are comfy. I'll bring them inside to vacuumed once a week. If your dogs are used for hunting or are puddle jumpers, I'd use this:
