X6M vs GLE65 AMG

I'm sure some of you had the pleasure of driving both. What are your thoughts?

I drove the GLE AMG 63S (coupe)...(I'm not sure about the GLE 65AMG) before settling on the X6MC.

Pros for the GLE AMG 63S were:
1. more 'premium' interior. The X6MC wasn't far behind however the GLE AMG 63S cabin felt and looked nicer
2. More pronounced exhaust note from within the cabin (the X6MC was way too muted, even at WOT)
3. Simpler user tech/infotainment

Cons:
1. Floatier ride in Comfort setting, the car was almost too bouncy over bumps
2. Slightly less responsive in its sportiest setting (mind you it was a 15 mins test drive and not a full blown test)
3. Less lateral grip (same speed, same off-ramp and the X6MC seemed to hold the intended line better). The X6MC seemed to handle crispier

On a purely subjective front, I found the exterior styling of the GLE AMG 63S coupe somewhat 'turtle shell"-like. It looked like an elevated CLA (sans trunk). With the exception of the controversial rear-end of the X6MC, the X6MC looked more aggressive from every other angle. Hope this helps

If you want some good analysis on both cars GlennC is a great source of information. He's had an X5 M50i, X5M, and a GLE63S.

Picked up my 2020 F95 X5M Competition from dealer!

BMW X??
Pro: You can still order one.

MB AMG v8.
Con: You cannot order one.

I had 2x AMG 63's ordered this year, and both were canceled due to MB stopping the V8 production. Now I own an X5MC and X7.

This is the credited response.

I tried to order one, but gave up. Porsche dealers couldn't give me timing. BMW wins!

(and I checked around nationally on all three!)

How do you like that combo? I think I'm going to end up there. I have an X5M and the GLS is over 100k miles. I like the X5M a lot.

We ordered the X7 and got exactly what we wanted, a loaded up Executive that my wife drives. It is fantastic! Very quiet and comfortable.
The X5MC was a surprise purchase the same day we went to get the X7. Custom order w/ everything; Nardo Gray; Sakhir Interior, B&W.
I wasn't looing at an M but decided to buy it when it came in.

It is very nice, probably would have ordered an X5M50i but I knew i could not get it w/ options I wanted.
Very happy with both so far.

I will consider a GLE63 in 22/23 if they offer them w/o too much hybrid garbage. Otherwise I may look ay Porsche again. I will keep the X5 for 1-2 years I suppose.
