Right side mirror not tilting in Reverse

I have yet to figure out the logic here but my right side mirror does not tilt down when I reverse... It was working just fine until now.

Am I missing a setting somewhere ?

The driver/passenger mirror adjustment switch toggles the tilt on and off. Slide it to driver and you will be set

When in reverse, manully move the mirror to point down. It retains the last set downward position.

Can you set both mirrors (driver and passenger) to tilt down, not just passenger side?

we've had bimmers since 2008, and the curb monitor tilt value could never be manually set. what I have noticed with iDrive 7 is that the amount of tilt is way too low. our previous MY17 535i with iDrive 6 had an acceptable amount of tilt.

may wanna try that again. sliding the switch to the right to manually adjust while reversing isn't using the curb monitor feature because it's deactivated when switched to the right. i just attempted this again to confirm my passenger side mirror doesn't move when activating the curb monitor (switch to the left) which is why I coded it (60%). there is nothing in the G05 owner's manual to 'manually adjust' the curb monitor, either

nope, the passenger side tilts down when activating the curb monitor but you can't set it to a preferred tilt despite lake_eleven suggestion above

simple. It's in the manual.
ACTIVATE: switch to driver side (left)
DEACTIVATE: switch to passenger side (right)

there's no way to set or program the mirror tilt. when you're in reverse with the curb monitor ACTIVATED, the switch is to the left, so can't adjust the passenger side mirror. you then flip the switch to the right to adjust the passenger side mirror, but in doing so, you've DEACTIVATED the curb monitor. you're simply just adjusting the side mirror manually, but there's no way it'll 'retain' that mirror position because the curb monitor is deactivated.

the thread below has some history about the curb monitor feature:

Thanks nZtiZia. I have it coded using BimmerCode to tilt at 60% so I am good with that. Was hoping the drivers side would tilt also, like my Volvo XC90.

60% is perfect for me, too, and that's a great idea to be able to code the driver side mirror as well! feed it back to BimmerCode as a feature request
