Will it fit?

Being Cyber Monday, I went to Costco to see what deals they had on TVs. I found an LG 75" 4k on sale for $899! I couldn't resist.

Next question: Will it fit in a G05?

Answer: Yes!!

In that pic it didn't look like you could close the rear hatch all the way, could you? and if not and you had to use a bungee, will the G05 let you drive it without the rear hatch being fully closed?

It closed completely with press of the button. I was expecting to have to give it a slight nudge (you know the one), but it wasn't necessary.

It was a perfect fit. I'd already called a friend with a pickup just in case, but I gladly told him he was off the hook.

How is the picture? I walk through those isles at Costco and Target, and I find myself preferring the colors of my 12 year old Bravia 52" LCD. For some reason all these new panels have horrible viewing angles, weird color reproduction, and things just don't look "real" as if I am looking through a window.

I don't know yet. It's still in the box. I've got another LG 75" I bought last year and its terrific.

I finally gave up on my last LCD tv. The technology has come so far and the prices are so low its hard to complain.

And, most importantly, it fit in the back of the G05 with exactly zero inches to spare!

75? is that a tablet?! The 80 inchers are becoming pretty common now.

Get an OLED from LG or Sony. Nearly 180 degree viewing angles and pure blacks.

Impressive! But were your knees against the dash? Lol.
I recently bought a 65" LG OLED and it barely fit in my long bed Tacoma, I'd have never guessed it would've fit in the X5.

Actually, I expected to be squashed. But the top of the box was below the top of the back of my driver seat so it wasn't bad at all.

I'm still in a bit of shock that it fit. Happy day for sure.

A 75" OLED is something like $3,500. I got this for $899. The OLED definitely has a better picture but the LG makes a great "regular" LED. The one I already have is awesome. While I could have paid the extra money, I decided to save it for buying a crystal gear shift for my next X5. (wink)

The one downside to OLED is burn in. The picture quality of OLED is unrivaled though so if you don't have the same static images on the screen, burn in isn't an issue. The 75 and 80+ tvs at costco look enormous whenever i see them. I can't believe it fit in the X5. $800 is a steal.

You either like Sony's color or you don't. I'm not the biggest fan, but my wife loves it... so, I've got a 65, 75, and 85" Sony in my house now. I prefer the more natural look of the others. Admittedly, they don't "pop" as much.

OLED is ok (burn in really isn't a realistic problem anymore), but they don't go to 85" yet. 85 is awesome! I really don't want to deal with sealing off light and all that to get a usable picture from a projector. That's just too much work for a family room TV where the kitchen is connected in an open plan.
