Rolling in a 2019 X5 xLine for a few days
My 340i is in for it's 5K service and some computer update I didn't know about, so they have to keep it through Monday.
These X5's are really nice! The only thing I would change is get an M Sport (if I was going to buy one). The undersized wheels on the xLine are underwhelming. It definitely needs bigger wheels and tires to not look so awkward. Plenty of power out of the B58 and nice and quiet. All the new technology is cool, but I'm not sure about the gauge cluster. I'd probably get used to it. Also, interior quality could be a bit better but these are nice SAV's for sure. |

I agree completely. Sticks out like a cheap unicorn in what is otherwise a very nice interior. The center speaker grill on the F30 looks of incredible high quality in comparison. |

I’ll add that proper specing one up can make a world of difference. A balls-out loaded X5 will be more opulent than 99.6% of the luxury vehicles made today. I have yet had any of my car club members that own a lot of expensive vehicles not look inside my 50i and didn’t gush about how high end it looks. Many said they had no idea BMW builds interiors this opulent.

Thanks a lot. I've had the G05 since February and I never noticed the center speaker on the dash until now. Now, its all I see. I don't know what BMW was thinking to make it so noticeable. Its not a big deal to me since the car is so great overall. |

Yeah it's just so out of place with the rest of the car (just like in the G20).

Agreed. But, I got in the X5 this afternoon and took a drive. I'm already back to not noticing the speaker. To me, it's sort of like Cindy Crawford's mole. It's there, but it doesn't take away from perfection.

Tell you what, the more I drive it, the more I don't miss my F30. It's such a nice, comfortable ride!
