Simply amazing. I am shocked how quiet they are. I never felt confident with all season tires and these delivered in the snow.
Agreed! I felt the same as well. I didnt find much loss in handling as well from the summers

No clue what my detailer used for Polish but there is a cquartz ceramic coating on top. He did a great job with the paint correction top!

Hi, how big are the wheels? Noticed you're from Ottawa, where do you do you detailing? How much was the cquartz ceramic? Opinion on cquartz vs gtechniq vs ceramic pro?

Cheers bud

20" wheels.
I got my detailing done at Waxed Detailing Services in Gatineau, http://www.waxed.biz/

I got a bunch of work done including extensive polishing as my car was really scratched up from the factory. I think the cquartz UK (lowest grade) was around $1200. The cquartz pro is a few hundred more and the cquartz finest is around $2000. I'm on a lease and didnt need long term protection so I kept it at a basic 2 coasts of UK.
Members on the forum love qtechniq but I have no thoughts about it. I compared against ceramic pro but I believe cquartz is a better product and while almost anyone can apply ceramic pro, cquartz is only from authorized shops. In town, there are only 2 places that do cquartz. I've been told that prep work is the most important step before the coating and you want someone who is going to take their time and do it right. If your local, shoot me a PM and I can give you more details around all of this.

At this point it is the only 22" non RFT that I can find that would fit in an all season so you could ditch the RFT and run them year round without buying wheels.

I’d love to go with wheels larger than the 20s that come with the M-Sport package, but it’s to expensive and restrictive IMO. I’ll just get the 20s (with the spare) and then switch to Conti DWS once the run flats wear out.

For Europe the BMW M-performance 20” Star-Spoke 748M Black Matt is available with five different tyres, all in 275/40, this is a difference from the F15 where the 20” winter wheels had 315/35 for the rears and 275/40 for the fronts. I guess there are both pros and cons with this, however the stance would still be reasonably good as this is the standard size wheels that comes with the M-package. In Europe you will get the following choices with that rim:

Continental General grabber AT3, no RFT, appx $3700
Michelin PILOT Alpin 5 SUV, RFT, appx $4400
Pirelli Scorpion Winter, RFT, appx $4300
NOKIAN Hakkapelitta 9 SUV (STUDS), no RFT, appx $4300
NOKIAN Hakkapelitta R3 SUV, no RFT, appx $4300
