Has anyone extended their contrast past the three month trial? Does AT&T charge $20 a month?

I have been trying tonight to get data from AT&T but when it does the two step verification, the code is not sent to my device. I tried both the web and iOS app and got the same result.

I added it to my At&T unlimited mobile share plan. I don't recall it ever needing to send a text message to the car though.

I think it takes $5 off if you auto pay, so $20 for unlimited. Same price if you were to add it to an AT&T cell plan you already have.

I was not able to login to my account online and tried to change the password but no email was sent.

Anyone else having problems like this of late?

Local dealer had my car all this week and I drove home in very heavy ran.

I just ran a little errands and I noticed that during both drives the BMW wifi did not have an Internet connection.

I am paying to go past the three month trial as I will be driving for three weeks starting next week.

Anyone else having problems connecting with AT&T wifi in their G05? What is the best way to report such things?

I had this just after picking mine up, too. After the software update and whatever else they did it unchecked WiFi Internet under mobile device settings in COM. So while everyone could connect none were getting to the Internet. Once I checked that box all was working again.

Right you are, I just forgot the fundamentals.

Dealer had my car three times this week, first three days and now all this week so I need to relearn the fundamentals while making sure my new R7 and BV 900S are working according to expectations.

I thought I posted about not being able to login to the AT&T myvehicle web in this thread, but apparently my memory has gone astray.

In any event, I never could purchase beyond the trail by using the AT&T web so I called them. Today with one week left of driving on the open road, I get a notice from AT&T that they have cancelled my account because my payment did not go through.

I am not amused. I am a long term AT&T person with a proven track record, but perhaps the phone agent wrote down a wrong digit.

Now I need to see about getting reconnected before hitting the road during this holiday weekend.

Since my post I got 3 or 5 more emails from AT&T. They range from you were cancelled to your are renewed to everything ends in three days.

What a mess.

Trying to get wifi hotspot in my 40i has been such a frustrating experience so far.

I had to call my dealer and talk to the BMW genius to get my car's mobile number. I registered it through the AT&T website and activated the 3-month trial and upgraded to the unlimited data plan. All of my devices (iPhone, tablets, and laptop) will connect to the hotspot but there is no Internet connectivity.

I spent 2 hours on the phone with AT&T connected car support and they finally told me I needed to contact my dealer and let them know about the problem.

So frustrating...

Holy...wow, thanks for sharing. Ironically, the reason I'm trying to get my hotspot to work is for a family vacation next week. I guess I won't push my dealer too hard the remainder of this week to do anything in case it really messes up my car right before we need to leave.

Just spent 2 days and tried to activate even on vacation from 2 different states = AT&T couldn’t activate my 3 month trial.

They told me it’s a cell tower issue ... BMW WiFi hotspot was a total fail. Giving up.

AT&T finally fixed the issue. Apparently my IMEI number on the account was wrong. Call BMW Assist and ask them to give you the IMEI number for the vehicle. Call AT&T and verify they have the same number Assist gave you. If not, they will send you to Tier 2 support and they will fix the issue. It will take a couple of days, but it will work. My service works flawlessly now. Hope this helps out for some of you who are trying to get it to work.

I just spent an hour back and forth with AT&T and BMW Assist and it's still not working.

BMW Assist gave me my IMEI number.

AT&T confirmed the IMEI foes not match what is provisioned on account. AT&T tried to change it and said the IMEI on my car's headunit is not compatible with their wireless service.

AT&T says my only recourse is to schedule a service with my dealer and they may need to replace my headunit.

This is ridiculous!

In iDrive system, I went to Communication > Mobile Devices > New Device > Internet Apps, and then a QR code popped up. I scanned the QR code with my iPhone's camera, and opened the notification at the top of the iPhone. When you open the internet browser, you should be directed to a mobile service landing page (ATT in my case).

The WiFi is actually very fast!

I got sent to the ATT landing page and it asked me to sign up....I put in all my info and it said I am not an ATT customer. Duh...Sprint.

Weird interface...
