3D Elegant Floor Liner

Well I asked for and got 3D Elegant Floor Liners for my X5 45e. The front fit perfectly but I’m disappointed by the rear fit. When I went back in the web site, I now see a note “not for hybrid”. I didn’t realize that the rear floor was different in the hybrid. The issue is on the far right and left sides, the mat is too wide maybe 1/4-1/2 inch on each side. Especially in the little gap between the seat and the door. Honestly, I can’t see how the hybrid is possibly narrower between the door plates than the non-hybrid. In trying to decide if I return them or just keep it. I was wondering if I could use a heat gun or hair dryer if that would soften them up and allow me to shape them at all. See pictures, what do you think (included pictures of drivers seat which I think is fine and rear passenger side which is too wide.)

I'd just run them the way they are. Most likely the floorboard on the hybrid is different because that's where the battery is located.
