Are you saying that M sport suspension in 50i and 40i are different? I do not think so. Cornering I would say is fine in mine. But on a straight road in comfort mode the car is bouncing up and down - floating... Also sometimes it also moving left to right a lot when car drives over bumps - not like previous X5. And this stay true for any speed.
In regards to M brakes - I do not have it. In my car there is inch or so of dead space at the top of brake pedal's travel.

I'm currently running Pirelli P-Zero run flats on my X3 35i. My car is certainly not floaty by any means but if your car is bouncing side to side when going over bumps that are the whole width of your lane, have you checked your tire pressures. If for some reason they are all too high, even though you are not getting a tire pressure warning, that could cause the left to right bounce shift.

We are at a camp in Tennessee. My daughters ride is my old ride, the highlander. She sold her car because she is moving to Germany in two weeks. I don’t think you could even get a limo around on these camp roads.

GLC is the direct competitor to the X3. If you're Going to cross shop the Merc with the X5 it should be the GLE. I wouldn't bother with the GLE 350. I would just look at the GLE 450.

X5 look much better than x3. Better technology, better interior, more space and your wife want it. I haven't driven x3 or x5 so I don't know about the driving experience. But I ordered x5 2020 2 weeks ago.

Yes.

The acoustic glass package went from $300 to $600 (still very worth it), there is the sensatec dash, which looks better than the 2019, and the M50i's in 2020 accidentally come without roof racks hahaha.

I do wish I had the extended shadowline package for $300 more. I had to separately but the black grille and exhaust tips.
