Most dealers won't give loaners for just an oil change. Maybe if you were good friends with a manager but this would a steep hill to climb. Just do Turo. Or some Hertz and Enterprise locations actually have exotic/sports cars.
What? Sounds like your dealer sucks.

I've gotten loaners for all sorts of stuff including oil change or even an inspection. Always good loaners From a couple different dealers. I think the 1M also makes them be nice to me; because they know I'm gonna spend money on service? lol

Who has time so sit at a dealer for 2 hrs? Don't people have a job to go to? I get a loaner for every single thing, including an oil change. No questions asked. I have places to be.

You keep it that long after the service is done, they will almost 100% start charging you. Which, in effect, is renting the car.

I'm renting a X5 off Turo for an upcoming trip. Previously rented a X3.

It really is dealer dependent.

My local dealer has had two ownership changes since I've been driving BMW's. At the start it was would you like a loaner? - you'd get one offered when you were there, regardless. With the next ownership, you had to ask, and if one was available you'd get it. Now, you must request it when you make your service reservation an they let you know if one is available based on what work you are scheduling.
