The M Sport brakes on my 2022 X6 squeak from day one . It is normal for these brakes. For me it's just a light squeak. Nothing too loud.

I have a 2021 X5 40i M-Sport with about 12k miles, and brakes are squeaking - I've been told its normal for these M sport brakes - so no-one should stress....

Performance brake pads squeak before they are up to operating temperature. To make it grossly over simplified, you can only make pads work efficiently for a specific range of temperatures. So if you want to make a higher performance brake pad that works when it's hotter, you lose some effectiveness on the lower temperature side, and it squeaks. This is better than losing it on the top temperature side, because that causes people to hit things.
It's common to just about any real sports car as well. You learn to live with it. I will say, the BMW pads are VERY dusty. |
