Current Pricing
We live in Atlanta and will be buying an x5 40i shortly. What percentage off sticker are people experiencing now? Secondly, how is pricing impacted by doing factory order vs an in stock model?

I don't remember seeing any specifics from that area recently but historically discounting was pretty decent there prior to COVID. I would shoot for 8% and see how the dealers react.
As far as ordering versus in-stock, that can vary by dealer. In most instances it is similar, some dealers offer a bigger discount on orders and some are the opposite. Timing also can effect it, if they are closing a period and close to making quota, they may discount more.

At lease 8%, tell them you’ve gotten quotes from brokers and be prepared to walk. It’s easier if the dealer has a car on the lot that you like. Also helps if you have multiple dealers where you live.

6-8% is a good target for ordering. Can't go wrong with 4-5 either. Really depends on regions AND it also varies among dealers in the same state.
For dealers in Maryland at least, the consensus is that orders will have bigger discounts than in-stock (I always thought it was the opposite) |

And don’t forget to compare out the door (OTD) pricing. The one with the highest discount off MSRP may have the highest doc fee and mandatory paint protection.

was looking at LH recently and apparently supply is very limited , so I doubt you will get 6-8 %
one broker is doing 3 % I did manage to get 4 % off from local dealer and good trade number on current car |
