Adaptive driving mode LCI

No more adaptive driving mode option on my X6 M60i which I miss.
Can this be coded?

I don't have the adaptive button in my 2023 X5 M50i, but I can still activate it using voice commands. No idea if it will work with your X6 or not, but it could be worth trying.

From looking at the user's manual, it appears that the logic to emulate the adaptive mode in earlier model years is incorporated into the hybrid mode, so is no longer a separate mode. It still will do more if you have a destination in the nav system so it knows where you're going to then try to apportion the available battery power smarter.

Good to know! I'm picking up the 50e this week and was wondering so I'll input my work destination daily which is 45 miles from home. I'll be doing 90 miles of driving daily 5 days a week so hopefully this will be helpful. I only have the level 2 charger at home and not at my office. Technically charging every night or every night should keep the gas tank good for the whole week or two. 👍

Interesting. I wonder if my button is missing because of the parts shortage. Picked mine up late December 2022.

Do you realize how many miles a year . That is driving to work without pleasure driving? Hopefully you have a work car to put miles on this one will be out of warranty in a year and a half. Not to mention the depreciation from the mileage.

Not too concerned. Current 2015 X5d has 167k miles and no issues. I have a 2021 Audi RS7 on the side which I use frequently and a Ford Bronco first edition.

at one point last year when the Adaptive mode button disappeared on the 45e, folks were still able to activate it by voice command, so it was a parts shortage. on the LCI 50e that doesn't have an Adaptive button, i asked someone to give a voice command to switch to Adaptive mode, but it didn't work, so that mode has been completely removed on the 50e. someone on a different thread noted that through his readings of the 50e manual, BMW engineers appeared to have "combined" Hybrid and Adaptive modes since they behaved similarly (which has been my experience on my 45e), so it makes sense to remove Adaptive mode on the PHEV, but why would they remove it from non-PHEV variants?

can someone with a non-PHEV LCI try a voice command? puckybadger

Odd, I wonder if other M50i owners who collected car around that time have it, was also there on my 40i which I collected in November 2021.

My M50i was built in March 2023.

this is applicable for the PHEV but the OP has the M60i which doesn’t have a Hybrid mode
