I recently lost several options which were available earlier on MyBMW app — including lock, unlock, horn, fuel status, etc. I’m only left with remote start. But when I switch the same app to my wife’s 330i (I have both cars on the same app), she still has all of the available options listed. Any ideas what’s happening with my X5’s options gone missing?

could be one of the many server issues, but since your wife’s options populated fine, it’s likely a telematics issue. reboot telematics by holding down the radio VOL button continuously through THREE iDrive reboots. having the engine on will give you better visual feedback than if it were idle. (I’ve done it while driving.)

I also recommend updating apps and services as well. do this by selecting APPS then highlighting Installed Apps (DON’T select it!). press the Option button next to the iDrive controller. a pop up to Update apps and services will show. select it

Your profile shows you have a 2019 X5. Any chance its been 4 years and your Connected Drive subscription has expired?

Ahhhh I’m 99% sure this must be the issue, because my 2019 X5 turned 4 years old a couple months ago, and it’s probably not a coincidence the app services I’d mentioned vanished right around that time. And my wife’s 330i is a 2021 which makes sense why her options are still present. Ugh…looks like I’ll have to pay $150 a year moving forward — lame!

100% was the issue…just paid for the annual service ($150) and sure enough all of the missing app options reappeared — just like that. Thanks for the tip, Fuzzy!

since the early releases of this model are now hitting the 4-year mark, I need to remember some feature subscriptions expire as well as take note when mine comes due (Dec 2024)

Thank you!!! I was going absolutely crazy trying to figure this out, thinking that the application was glitching and I tried everything! There was no notification that my connected drive subscription expired!! My 2020 ALPINA B7 subscription expired after the four free years and I lost the buttons and more! Paid the $150 and all was right in the world. Never giving up this B7 ❤️

Irony as this thread reminded me my 2020 M850i hit the 4-year in-service date on 12/9. Haven't used the MyBMW app for it in a while as I have it and the LCI both loaded and it opens always to the last one used which now a days is the LCI.

Sure enough the M850i is dead as a doornail. I don't even get remote climate as an option. It only shows the vehicle location (telematics still intact). Time to pay the piper. 😜

Yep no warning just vapor until you cough up the dough. Doing that now for my 2020 M850i.
