2023 45e range under optimal conditions
10 month old car with almost 10,000 km on it, quite lucky today to enjoy a stretch of road without too much stops and gos, and I got a total range estimated to be >85km, according to the battery gauge it is actually plausible. No AC of course.
When I got home I drove 50 km and still 20 km left on range, > 1/3 left. 45e is still amazing! |

You must be driving down hill, right?
16kwh/100 => 3.9mi/kWh. This is model 3 territory. No way 45e can even come close. 19kwh/100km => 3.3mi/kWh. This is better than model X, also not possible. Just want to call out a sanity check

Another evidence was that my other i4 can easily get <13 kwh/100km with the same road conditions, so X5 consuming 50% more fuel/energy than a i4(or 3 series equivalent) should be reasonable right? |

I don't think your number is normal. something is unique about your route. Think this way, Model 3 is about 50% more efficient than Model X. In BMW analogy, i4 is 50% more efficient than iX. This is a reasonable claim. 45e Edrive is no where near the efficiency of iX. Another way to see even BMW itself claim 45e is 1.8mi/kWh. You think BMW under report by 50%? If you don't mind, post a trip computer from "since factory". We can estimate what is your realistic mi/kWh. Or you can pull telemetry, it will also show you.

50% more for 45e (around 18 kwh/100km) should be doable under some extreme conditions. |
