You are right on with your % off. I was looking after i cancelled my X5 order. I wanted an X6 and found that dealers don't receive that many.
Discounts from dealers on the x6 are no where near 6%. One fell in my lap that a client bailed on last week. I went to war with these guys over 4.5% off msrp. I did get them to throw in mats and wheel locks. So far there are good and not so good on the 24. They took away things that I liked and were standard on my 2019 X5. idrive 8 does take time to adjust to. To tell you the truth the extra 35hp I can't feel that much change at least in comfort mode. Over all I'm happy with the vehicle, it's no M60 nor full M car but i have the M already. I do think BMW did a very nice job upgrading the interior materials.

One thing I do miss is the fold down gate on the X5 but i can live with it.

Dealers can order and receive as many X6 models as they like, problem is they often sit on the dealers lot for months and months till they can unload one. So dealers are reluctant to order any for stock. Problem is BMW will just send one or two to a dealer anyway, and dealers aren't very happy about it. But that's part of signing on to be a distributor for BMWNA.
The X6, like the X4, are very poor selling vehicles in the US when compared to the X5 and X3.

Not true at all. Like all other models, they need to have an allocation for them to order one. Allocations for them are not as plentiful due to sales level.

I agree on the point of allocation, as far as not being popular (BobM3) I disagree. Every one that hits my dealer floor are gone within a week. They are not as popular as the X5 but to each their own. I Love my X5M Comp but I also love the X6. Again everyone has their own opinion that's mine.

Sorry, I meant to say that a dealer can order as many as he's allotted, but many dealers don't wany the X4 or X6 on the lot, since they sit for so long. But as fundamentals pointed out, there are some exceptions.

Just ordered an xDrive40i at 8.1% off + $1,000 rebate. Buyrate MF, allocation ready, and no broker/fee (direct to dealer).

I might be in the market for a X5 M60i soon. Anyone know what current discounts I should be looking to get on one I find on the lot vs one I build?
Thanks!

For most dealers there is no difference in discounts between the to. For some the offer less discounts for inventory and other dealers are the opposite.

Discounts vary by location and dealer. Many are still sticking to MSRP but discounts in the 3% - 5% seem to be popping up more and more. You may want to shot for 8% and see what they say.

I see you’re in ATL. My M60i was ordered at BMW of Macon. Week 32 build and I expect to have it in my garage by late August. Call Omar Saleh, Sales Mgr. BTW, I live in SC and this’ll be my third transaction with Omar since 2017. Good guy, straight shooter and no games. Search this forum for discounts ppl are getting.

For MY24 order seems like broker is the only way I found to get meaningful discount. I ordered my 50e thru broker earlier in the month, it was at 10% off MSRP before incentive but the broker did charge a pretty high 2% fee so net 8% for me. Seems like 40i could land better deal

Seems like car price is going down, I’m sure if you are willing to wait for a couple month there would be even better deal.
Hi, can you please share the broker info? Pls PM me.
Thanks

I browsed through everyone's posts in this thread, and it helped me tons so I hope this can help someone else:

7.5% for 24 X6 x40i custom order in Maryland, no broker, no incentives. Started at 4%, then called several dealers in the area to ask them to do more, and the discount just kept getting better. Take the time to call every dealer within a 100-mile radius. Ended at 7.5% with the same dealer after contacting 4-5 other ones.

Open to PM's if you're in the area, Happy to share more details.

Good job! Did they ask to see competitor's offers in writing? When I did my Z4 thing, area dealorships did.

Can't imagine a car salesman would lie to try to sell a car at a higher price!😁

I’m looking to place my order for a 2024 50e MSRP at 84,645 and they told me they would discount $2k and loyalty rebate of $1500 so total $3,500 reading some posts has me thinking ai should keep trying at other dealerships or do you guys think that’s as good as it most likely will get.
