How long does it typically take for the build to begin once the it's been scheduled for production? Thanks!

for me, it was 1 week before the status changed to production begins.

There is no typical time frame for that status change, It depends on when you order and when the production date is for the allocation you get. You can give Genius a call, or ask your CA, when your production week is. About two weeks prior to your Production week your status will change to Production Begins. This does not mean that assembly has begun but rather that a VIN has been assigned and the parts ordered/allocated. At that point you can use the F12 process to get your production day. On that day, or the night before, it will start the assembly process which takes less than a day.
