2024 BMW x5 kidney grill lights

I have a 2024 x5 which comes with the illuminated kidney grill at the moment it’s saying it’s an extra which costs £49 not a problem but when I try and purchase it then comes up with a message saying fleet vehicle I contacted bmw had no joy I tried resting to factory settings that doesn’t get rid of it either when I go into my bmw I can’t click main user option it says status restricted anyone had this problem and fixed it let me know thanks in advance 👍

Can the lighted grill be added after the car was built?

Seems like the vehicle isn’t registered correctly. Did you buy this used and it was a loaner or fleet vehicle for a dealership?

OP, you need to tell BMW you are the (new?) owner...I assume. I know when I purchased my (used one) I had to log on to BWM and input the VIN under my name.
