Is there a relationship between the OS version (8 to 8.5) and the traffic information?

Previously the traffic information, identified by the route turning green, would appear in the map within minutes and rarely take any longer. But, since the upgrade to 8.5 (and having the screen replaced), I can take a 10 mile, 15-20 min drive and the route will remain blue (the new colour for a planned route without traffic info). There has been the odd instance where it has turned green so I'm doubting some 'major' failure.

How long does it take for the traffic information to appear for your trips and where should I look to check settings / information etc?

The RTTI icon at the top of the screen does turn green, if it is relevant
