16 months 7k miles. 2021. No issues. Much better than my 2018 530e which had a ton of software bugs and check engine lights in the first year.

just a few months in and had nothing to report UNTIL I made a run to the cleaners today and the main screen went black. Could not revive it myself, but eventually it displayed "navigation system launching" or something similar. Eventually came back and was up and running fine the rest of the way home. Weird.
Sorry to hear about those who are having problems! |

2022 X5e is only months old -
8400 miles the passenger side blind spot monitoring is inconsistent. Drivers side has been perfect. Sensors replaced 2,000 miles ago and same conditions have again returned. Also now have v additional issues: Not always recognizing one of the fobs for vehicle entry. Occasionally will not start with start button. Outside folding mirrors sometimes fail to reposition automatically. Vehicle does not always recognize / adjusts for which driver is in the vehicle. Looks like screen in front of driver is starting to delaminate. ( Little dots like air bubbles on various areas of screen ) Note that Never used any cleaning solutions to wipe / clean the screen. After the blind spot monitoring sensors were originally replaced, my wife and I met with the BMW genius & reviewed and reset all the vehicle settings for both of our fobs because none of our original settings were retained & we wanted to be sure we had saved everything correctly. ( 1st BMW ) Vehicle is being dropped off at dealer Monday & they are providing a loaner until issues are resolved. |

My 2021 45e is Tango Uniform
follow this thread:
https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1947828&page=2 16k miles, 16 months old, about 2 weeks ago on the way to the store got a Drivetrain malfunction and Battery error. This is a recall vehicle for the battery pack which was fixed. But that exact fault was identified in the Nov 21 recall letter of what would happen if a battery (cell or module) short-circuited. I'm going to try for a swap or buyback. I had good communication w/ BMWNA until we got word last week that this will take 4 weeks or more to fix. Since then BMWNA hasn't returned my phone calls or emails. I'm in a different state (NV) from where I bought it (CA.) I am passed the NV lemon laws expiration (see thread) but not CA. Just Fri I contacted my original dealer to let them know. Not sure they can do anything, but if I to initiate Lemon law (hope I don't), then I might have to work it through Cali. cheeers |

Seems to be a handful of people experiencing issues in that thread. |

I haven't bought one yet. However, I'm really worried as I drive very little...so my car will have that much mileage in 4 to 5 years! That would possibly be after the warranty had already expired... |

for anyone who gets a PHEV or full electric - I've always said it's better to trade the car in before the warranty ends. And you still might get the $7500 tax deduction too on a new one. Makes no sense IMO to keep a PHEV for a long time. Batteries degrade .. ALOT. I used to work in Aerospace, I've seen it in satellites. Or just your phone you know it. Replacing my battery pack on the recall, the SA told me they will bill BMWNA for around $22k. The SA recently told me they had a catastrophic failure on a car just out of warranty and it was over $30k to fix. Just saying. If you don't drive too much, then you don't have hi petrol costs anyway. Last edited by leightos; 08-27-2022 at 08:28 PM.. |

2 weeks, 600 miles, most of them on way home from PCD. Not much to go on. But perfect so far.
And am extremely impressed overall with this SUV. |

The warranty on the battery is 8 years/80k, right? Not worried. If it stops delivering the performance they billed for the car, I will expect warranty service to make it right
