I figured as much. No need to go high end with a mixer. I'll have to try some of the good stuff for sipping, though.

The Diplomatico rum is awesome. Another killer pick from TXSTYLE.

I typically like to stare at my unopened bottle of vermouth when shaking my martini's

Never drank it straight...so I got no idea what it tastes like. Guess I consider it similar to triple sec...more an adder to something else.

I've loved the anejo since I went to the factory when I was about 18 with SisterCity exchanges. The entrance is one of the worst smells, where they are sweating/fermenting the agave. But the end of the line, complete with warm tortilla and seared beef. . .
I have to make "diabetic Cadillacs" so I salt a rim, put a few rocks, then generous TG and a splash of Grand Marnier. Now that I've found them, a key lime in there makes a nice cool sip. |

Glad you like it my friend. I am about to be drinking plenty of it this Saturday for my lovely wife's birthday party!

I think I prefer it over the Plantation rum. It's smoother.
I just wish they sold this stuff in bigger bottles. LOL

So, I'm a bit excited as I have a bottle of Plantation 20-year Rum coming my way in a day or so. As, I have said the 5 year is pretty good, but I'm dying to get some sips in on the 20 year.

I usually save my drinking for the weekend, as I follow a pretty disciplined training schedule during the work week. if I'm working during the weekend, then my after hours routine gets adjusted (slightly) lol.
This is my normal selections for the most part... Nothing as extravagant compared to some of the other guys who posted here. Last night was the first time I tried this Gold Label Whiskey, and I gotta say... me like! My default drink is Hennessy. I can drink that all night and maintain a somewhat level demeanor. But that Gold Label is so smooth so it can creep up pretty fast, lol. I drink my stuff straight up. No point in ruining a perfectly good adult beverage. Fun times, as always.
