When to expect in-depth LCI reviews

Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster. After much deliberation I've decided on a 2024 X5, however the model I go with is probably going to depend on reviews... first drives, performance numbers, etc.

I've been keeping an eye on the BMW X5 (G05) Reviews Compilation thread, but haven't seen much more than the some quick intro videos as well as detailed walkthrough from Autogefühl:

I know production starts in April, but surely the press have had models to review already, likely waiting on an NDA to expire so they can publish.

Does anyone have any insight into when we can expect in-depth reviews? I realize excitement is driving my impatience, but I'm eager make a model decision and get the order finalized as soon as possible!

Production starts next week so I'm hoping we start seeing videos and reviews by that weekend. Otherwise the members on this forum may be posting their own thoughts the following week.

I was thinking the same thing as the OP. If we look at the XM reviews they literally came out pretty much on the same day the first XM hit the dealers. So I am expecting the same thing with the X5. As the previous poster said production should start next week, which means the first dealers should see the car around mid April. Reviews should start being posted probably around April 15 ish

I don't expect the LCI to get as much attention as when the G05 was a brand new model. The youtubers out there tend to focus more time on new models than facelifts.

Well, although the body did not change much, it got new engines (both ICE and electric) and completely updated interior / electronics. And many people (including me) were waiting for the new model to come out. I think it will get quite enough of attention

I doubt any YT reviewer would turn down a LCI press model.

Either BMW still has some kinda embargo or BMW themselves are focusing more on the XM and M2 right now.
