At a minimum the exhaust bezel in the rear bumper of the M50i would need to be removed; which is the simplest part of installation. Others have done this with many photos posted on here or other corners of the internet.

Love the new tips!
Can they fit on older DINAN exhausts? I have a F82 with the tailpipes almost flush with the back. I'd like to "freshen" them up and stick out a bit.

Unfortunately they are not compatible with the older legacy exhausts like the F80/F82. Those utilized a weld-on tip whereas these are clamp-on. =/

I am definitely in for the group buy with the x-pipe. I don't want to cut my oem pipes. So I will wait for the x-pipe full system option. I have been waiting and searching for a more reasonably priced option. I know Dinan quality will be first rate!

PnB's are a function of engine tuning and specifically overrun/underrun settings in the fuel mapping. An aftermarket exhaust can accentuate what is there with a bit more volume but that is about the extent of it as it relates to burbles/pops and bangs/crackles, etc.

Welp, as you can see the goal of having it released before the new year didn't come to fruition. What I get for jinxing it with a public prediction I suppose. Should know better by now. Soon / near-term -- that's vague enough to avoid a follow-up jinx, right?

Historically the non-M (full-M) X cars have not had the volume to justify the time/effort to make it profitable. We will be making a stab on the X3 M40i to test the waters again given the crazy sales volume on them but there are no plans for an M50i exhaust at present unfortunately. If the M40i one does well it may be revisited but "near future" is not in the cards even in that instance.
