G'day Everyone,

Anyone have any recommendations on either rim scratch repair or should I just purchase a whole new one? It's really not bad but for me knowing that it's there is killing me. Some lady nearly ran me off the road and I had to grind up against a curb and concrete barrier.

If it is just a scrape their will be plenty of specialists who will repair it so it looks 99% as good as new. In the U.K. it costs around £100 -£120

they can professionally resurface the wheel with a special machine only removing the absolute bare minimum then it will need to get powder coatted again to match factory spec which is either a satin or high gloss clear

Would you suggest taking to actual dealership or find someone qualified?

Find qualified RIM repair place and drop off the rim itself. It's very common and in most cases you won't notice a thing after repair.

no, they will just charge you more and probably use the same qualifed shop you'd go to (assuming they're good and know what to do as a dealer)

This is the exact reason I went back to the 20" standard profile wheels (20" 740 M wheels) when I got my 2nd G05.

Well, that reason coupled with the very limited tyre choices available in 21", important for the future since 20" opens up a huge range of options (eg..Michellin, Bridgestones..etc).

I had the exact same Y-spoke 744 21" wheels on my 1st G05, and while they look awesome, the low profile nature means you almost can't avoid scrapping them against low curbs. I ended up with a quite a few scrapes on mine...

The dealer offered to transfer my 21" across to my 2nd GO5, and I said "thanks, but no thanks"...

A good repair shop will make that look new. Just don’t look for the cheapest shop. If you see high end enthusiasts cars being worked on it’s a good sign.
Should cost around $200, if a lot cheaper walk away.

And to think I wanted 22in but the guy talked me out of it due to customers complaints and switching tires monthly. Yeah it's tough keeping them safe/clean :-(

Let it go, it's just a scrape. Cars are objects.

If nothing serious or major, I would let it go, even on my M2C.
