How can you be depressed Homie!? You drive an F95! You did SOMETHING right. Well, probably more than something, probably some THINGS (plural) right/correctly.

I probably could have had an X5M 2 two leases ago, but I didn't know dick about the money factor, discounts and incentives. Let alone that you could order a custom car on a lease (I actually surprised my primary care physician yesterday when i told him about what I learned on here about BMW lease negotiations).

I'm just happy that there seems to be a sizable number of losers (read: winners!) like me across the world willing to shell out a chunk of change for the same buggy I've got. It makes the profligacy of my spending feel slightly more palpable despite having a newborn...at 38.

Curious, how many of you have children? I was well on track to an X5M a few years ago, but with 2 kids in 2 years, those plans are delayed for likely 4 or 5 years at a minimum lol.

2 maternity/paternity leaves saw about $55000 per year (2 years worth about $110k) out the door from reduced income. Then child care and savings for university for the 2 of them see $2500+ out the door per month!

Oh, I'm 41 and an accountant.

We don't have that much leave in the US for moms, and paternity leave well...haha. Kids blow-up the budget for sure, but you gotta love what you drive in my opinion; can't buy new and want and X5M, wait and go CPO.
I bought my last M3 (E92 coupe), one week before my wife found of she was pregnant and was determined to keep it - still have it although it doesn't get driven much.
I've had 3 kids in car seats/booster seat in my F85 and was determine it was going to work...haha. BTW, I thought my F85 was great with the kids and they enjoyed going fast. I went G05 this time thinking of the family and wanting a factory hitch, slightly easier ride, and ability to put all-seasons on the 22s - but i did have to the M50i.

Don't feel bad, there is a time and place for everything. Plenty of us on here in the same boat and sharing your same feelings. I didn't get hitched until my 30s. I've got friends my age with kids entering college and none of mine are even in high school while other friends are in exactly the same place I am and perfectly happy.

exactly ... none of us know what's around the corner, some marry early / late / not at all ... some have kids early / late / not at all ... some start their careers or businesses early and have early success, some later success ...

but anyone that can afford an X5M - or anything like that - is in a good place in the universe
