Production interpretation

Hi everyone my status shows this now (second checkmark)

PRODUCTION BEGINS

Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue.

The dealer told me it was January Allocation - but does this mean it started early ? Anyone know the estimate from here until delivery?

This just means that all the parts for your vehicle are getting lined up and ready for installation the day you enter the assembly line since the plant uses just in time production. Your actual build date should be about 2 weeks from now. You can use the F12 process (do a search on the forums) to find your current build date.

I can't do the f12 because its Canadian and we don't have a 'my garage' - just a link for the status.

Don't forget the factory will be closed during their holiday recess.

I have been delayed. Here is the reply from my dealer that communicated with the factory:

Please see below from the production team:

There are some production delays with the X5 50e for all dealers – unfortunately a lot of vehicles were pushed back in to 2024 and at this point we cannot pull cars any further forward.  If anything changes – cars will be brought back into earlier production weeks based P1 status first, and then by the requested week.

My reply:
Appreciate your communication. Out of our hands. Better they fix any issues then get a bad car. Enjoy the holidays with your family!!!

Ok so it went two days ago "in production" to checking today near the end "IN TRANSIT" wtf ? is this an error ?

The Canadian tracking site is fairly new and we don't have data as to what steps it is really telling us. If for example, two days ago the production was actually 153 Entering Assembly then it makes perfect sense that it would be done and on the way. If it was 150 Production Begins which occurs about two weeks prior to assembly then something would be off.
