Tracking an X5 ordered in Belgium
Hi everyone,
Is it still possible to track a car i ordered in Belgium ? I have a VIN number. It's an X5 50e. I tried BMWUSA.COM but it doesn't work. Thx. |

That link is only for technical recalls if I'm not mistaken.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen used to have a website where you could use the vin to track the car on the boat. But that doesn't work anymore and I haven't found an alternative. Only thing I've been able to do for my new 50e, is guessing which boat it should be on based on the schedule found here: https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules (choose by route and pick From North America to Europe). Taken my current X5's trip history and the current status of the new one, I came to the conclusion that it will be on the "Don Pasquale" most likely. Then using vessel finder: https://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9138513 I can more or less track the ship. |

the alternative is just... to wait (hopefully not long).
Since the car was scheduled for production I would email the dealer every other week so I don't think about it often. If BMW doesn't provide a self service option then this is why dealers get a cut. Now my car is in Germany waiting for a trip to Zeebrugge. |

I believe the chance is big that yours is on the same boat that I'm putting my money on for mine.
165 was the last status I got before it was delivered to the garage in Belgium (see the topic of my current 45e where I kept track of all info: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...81&postcount=1) |

Any news from your dealer ? Car should arrive in Zeebrugge on thursday if your guesses are right. Or does it change boat once it arrives in Bremerhaven ? |

Hello!
I am officially new here, but more then 10 years a „quiet“ reader of this forum. In the summer i ordered a new 50e in Austria. First the dealer told me in should be delivered in October, then Week 46, then he told me he dont have more informations. Last friday he told me middle of December.. It is frustrating that everyone can track an simple parcel, but a customer in EU can’t track a car for 100k plus. As i proofed the vin it was produced on 07.10.2023. Do you know when yours was prodcued, perhaps mine is also on the same ship? Best regards! |

Dealer said something like that, stuck in customs, probably by overload of work or something. I would expect a company like BMW, to have some kind of deal so they can get passed customs faster, it only a car, what is there to do..., just sign the papers already.

Got some news from my dealer. Car has statut "Zeewott" and is going to be transported to the dealer (probably this week). So delivery should be at latest in two weeks. |
