Not feeling a ton of confidence in when this order will be built. Ordered this with an allocation and build week 49 and was in 112 code the next day. Then last week it pushed to week 50. Still at 112. I just called Genius to check and was told build week is now 51. Each week it pushes with zero detail. She said there are no holds. Just wait and see.

Is this normal? I was told I’d have this car mid December and my lease is up end of Dec. But I have little confidence this will even be built based on what I’m seeing these past three weeks.

It is not uncommon to have that happen. You likely have some option or combination that they are trying to source.

I'm a little paranoid that some of my options will delay me as pretty much optioned everything almost on the car - not sure if its the climate comfort package they may be slow sourcing, ivory leather seats/components, the executive package stuff, running board, or whatever...

Kinda like you, i'm already in a rental and not wanting to extend it further into January.

I found an M60 locally, speced almost identical to my build. Tempted to purchase so I can get the financing 🤣😅.

My spidey sense tells me it’s the Tanzanite color choice as in the configurator tool, it now shows a red dot on availability. Yet nobody has confirmed or asked me about it. I’ve reached out to my CA but I don’t believe he knows anything. If I changed my color, can BMW confirm it will accelerate the build vs my build stay stuck without any info?

In the past we have seen where changing a color pushes the build back. You can check with your CA if they have any definitive information, likely not, but I wouldn't take the chance.

You can extend your lease with BMWFS up to 6 months. Positive is that at least packages/options are not being deleted. Individual exterior colors are painted in batches, maybe why your getting pushed back.
