2021 M50i Ordered
Hi all,
I have gone through this once before on my 2020 m-sport 40i and now I am getting the engine I have always wanted. Don't get me wrong , the 40i has been an awesome engine. However, the oil pump needs to be replaced and the part is on backorder from Germany for at least 30 days could be several months. I am in a loaner for now (X3) and the GM at my local dealership stepped up and offered me a deal I couldn't refuse on ordering a 2021 M50i. He must have a had a slot ready as I only finalized order on Tuesday and it is already at production begins. Says it is slated for March 9th completion. I'm excited! Cool! The world needs more V8s. I live in Houston and it has been way too cold. Seems to be getting colder every year. Definitely no global warming anymore.
What are your order details? Leather? My X5 M50i production slot was assigned on Feb 1st, but production doesn't begin until middle of March. |

Don't mind me... Just complaining about the cold this past week. I hate cold weather. It finally warmed up today and I was able to ride my bike again!!!
The comment about "global warming" was a poke at wanna-be "scientists" ... I can't stand self proclaimed scientists lying to us, just so they can push some harebrained agenda. Ultimately, I still want to be able to buy a BMW V8 in the next 10 years. |

Not too exciting of a build. My 40i had everything , even massage seats, air and IAS. This time I am going easy on options, mainly because I cringe already at the base price. So AG color, ivory vernasca ( I like the ‘hardiness’ of it), exec, and heated front and rear, trailer hitch and extended shadow line. Glad to hear front ventilated seats come standard even if they are semi-pathetic in operation. Really it’s about the engine this time. I want to be at a stoplight against a sq7 and know what the outcome will be |
