I always used to rotate through spare sets but I like putting the sheets on the bed fresh out of the wash. They smell clean. I do the same with towels. All my bath towels are white. I love the smell of clorox on my fresh clean whites!

This doesnt include the shames and shames; those are only on the bed if/when we expect guests...they get in my way...lol. I think there was a Ben movie making reference to it.

I sleep on my side facing my nightstand fan (with also over head fan on)
2 flat pillows for my head
3 puffy pillows in front of me
3 puffy pillows behind me
1 King heavy blanket (my own)

On the fan note, always had 2 fans active going back 30yrs. Even when in Michigan in winter...buried in blankets with fans on. When on vacations...I goto a Walgreen/CVS or such and buy a fan and just leave it at the hotel lol. My wife thinks my sleeping "setup" is crazy and despises the "wind tunnel" as she calls it.

quilted sheet
1 normal top sheet

Wife has to kinda "jump" into bed LOL.

2 people mentioned cozy and I love that word. It makes me want to snuggle up😂 I have multiple sets of sheets we rotate through and I'm currently aggravated because I need to replace 2 sets. I've bought our sheets from Macy's and I think the brand is Charter Club. Well, the colors are crap and I'm looking for a specific color and now going to have to try to find sheets I like. Nothing is worse than getting new sheets and they SUCK.

We also have a ton of pillows on our bed too but a lot of them are decorative.

These are all in use when sleeping. A few are omitted if my son wants to sleep in our bed...or there would be no room bahha.

Bad sheets do suck. So much marketing and nonsense too and more money doesn't always mean better product!

I've found if it's a good quality cotton, after a few washes they soften up really well. I think my current set are 400 TC pottery barn basics. Always wait for a sale!

That baffles me at nearly every US made movie when the scenes went into some bedrooms, there are lots and lots of pillows with different sizes, man, you could sleep into a sitting position.
Is that really comfortable or is it to pick the right pillow for best uses and the rest got thrown overboard?

Six pillows stay on my bed for sleeping. It's a king so there are three across, doubled. I have my favorites put will switch out during the night to grab a cold one. The others are decorative and come off the bed and onto a bench.

I just got a new set a few weeks ago. Check out Wamsutta Dream Zone. They have assorted thread counts and are 100% cotton. I got 1000 thread count, washed them once before I put them on the bed and I'm very happy with the feel and weight of them.

I've found some great sheet (by feel) at places like BB&B, but we have a split king And none of those nice ones have just a fitted full that I can buy that matches with the King flat.

We have 10 pillows. I get 2 at sleep time. The wife makes a full-on fort like enclosure, often has to literally jump to get in the middle. And then doesn't move. 4 of the 10 are the Sobakawa-type filled with buckwheat. If you want a pillow that stays cool, you want a Sobakawa.

Clever wife - you can't really fault her. Have to penetrate the fort wall's defenses before you can even make it to the second line of defense against intimacies. Gives them an initial warning signal to cycle through what they are going to say once the fort is breached.

i used to have 2 on my bed, and now i have 4. the older two gets thrown to the ground every night and gets picked up when i'm doing the bed and thats their only purpose
