I haven't done the mod myself, I only checked if the 45e has the flap.

I opened/closed the flap using BimmerLink on my 45e.
You can hear it 'click' when changing.
Exhaust sound difference is noticable.

I just tested it, haven't made permanent changes.

Only over 4000rpm.
I have done the permanently open hack with taken out the fuse. Works fine and sound a lot better!

Hi, which obd adapter did you use for bimmerlink ?
Carly doesnt let me open the flap on the x5 45e. I saw on the seller page that the obdlink for bimmerlink doesnt work on hybrid cars nor electrical ones.

Which obd adapter do you recommend ?

Thank you

I can confirm that this device is also working on the GO5 45e. It opens the valve with the button on the steering wheel. I borrowed it from a friend who uses it in his M2. Just plug and play.

i found a way to open the flap, just ask someone to put the car in launch control while they are pressing both paddles and launch control activates just pull off the fuse (fuse:203) and you got an open exhaust flap, not a good idea but it works

Does it remember the position of the valve or do you need to open the valve every time you start the car ?

I have the x5 45e 2020. After having read several solutions on how to open the flap, I just tried to find out if the flap is in the open or closed position when the engine is turned off. It appears to be open! So I just pulled the fuse when the car was turned off, and the flap remains open Worked for me.

Also would like to know the fuse, looks like he was a one and done poster. When I tried to pull up the fuse map for my VIN it said my VIN wasn't found. Hoping someone else has one for the 2022 45e.
